For the last several years my sculptural work has become largely kinetic and interactive. It is often witty, profound and provocative. Much of it seems to exist in the realm of the unlikely. These days, my mind is in a whirl, trying to understand how to make very complicated things appear to be smooth, slow and coordinated.

1951 Ford Pick-up desk.

Greg Paul and I have been working on a motion activated set of flashing lights for for a desk, featuring a 1951 Ford Pick-up grille and light assembly that I purchased several years ago in Hershey, PA. the "Greg Board" has a grab bag of electronic parts, a small motor, some micro-switches and relays enabling the whole thing to run for 25 seconds. You wouldn't think there could be so much fussing and fooling to get stuff to work properly.

  1. David, it has been a rare privilege indeed to see "behind the curtain" and help with the creation of some amazing pieces. Now, back to work! :-)
